  • AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi condemned Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed's remark on the country's win against India in the T20 World Cup match. Hitting out at Rasheed, the AIMIM chief asked what Islam has to do with cricket matches. Owaisi was addressing a public gathering in Muzaffarnagar ahead of assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh. “A Pakistan minister said their win against India in T20 World Cup match was a victory for Islam. What does Islam have to do with cricket matches?” He said. On Monday, Rasheed said Pakistan’s win against India at T20 World Cup match was a 'victory for Islam’. This was India’s first loss to Pakistan in any World Cup match after 12 straight wins. This was the first time that team India lost a T20I by ten wickets. Coincidentally, this was also the first time that Pakistan won a t20i by ten wickets. India will next square off against New Zealand on Sunday, October 31.
