Putin’s full speech: BRICS now one of the most powerful forces shaping the new world order?

Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the BRICS Outreach meeting in New Delhi, welcoming partner countries and other participating states and organisations. Putin said the growing participation reflects increasing international interest in BRICS and highlighted the bloc’s emphasis on sovereign development, collective decision-making and a more representative multipolar world order. He said intra-BRICS trade has reached $1.2 trillion and outlined proposals to deepen economic cooperation, including BRICS payment and settlement infrastructure, a reinsurance mechanism and a grain exchange.
