- The Rajya Sabha witnessed ruckus over opposition parties’ demands to hold a discussion on farm laws and farmer protests. The Ruckus was witnessed in the house after Rajya Sabha Chairman,Venkaiah Naidu said that legislators were free to raise the issue on Wednesday during the discussion on Motion of Thanks to the President's address. Opposition parties raised slogans and said that it is a matter of national importance and hence should be discussed on an urgent basis. While government has held several rounds of talks with the farmers, there has been no headway. The farmer unions have insisted that the government withdraw the laws which they allege will benefit corporates. The Modi government on the other hand has agreed to make changes in the laws, but ruled out repeal of the legislations. Watch the full video for all the details.
