Sidhu sidelined as Channi becomes CM? Cong clarifies who'll lead poll campaign

- After Amarinder Singh’s dramatic exit and Charanjit Singh Channi’s selection for the position of Chief Minister, speculations were rife about the leader of Congress party in the upcoming assembly elections. Punjab state Congress in-charge Harish Rawat clarified on his party’s face in the upcoming polls. Rawat credited Navjot Singh Sidhu’s popularity and said that the Punjab Congress Committee Chief will lead the party in the elections. Meanwhile, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa who was being reported as Congress’ choice to succeed Amarinder Singh said that he’s not disappointed with the decision of nominating Channi for the chair of Punjab CM.
