TMC launches big attack after I-PAC co-founder’s arrest, makes this big demand ahead of polls

The Enforcement Directorate on Monday arrested Vinesh Chandel, co-founder of political consultancy firm Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), in connection with an alleged coal scam case. Chandel was taken into custody in Delhi, according to sources, in a development that comes just days before the high-stakes West Bengal Assembly elections. I-PAC has been closely associated with the ruling All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), making the arrest politically significant amid an intense poll campaign in the state. Earlier on April 2, the central agency conducted raids at multiple locations, including Chandel’s premises in Delhi and those linked to firm director Rishi Raj Singh in Bengaluru. Searches were also carried out in connection with Vijay Nair.
