Under-construction flyover collapses in Bandra, Mumbai; 14 workers injured

- At least 14 injured after a portion of an under-construction flyover collapsed in Mumbai. Incident took place at MTNL junction in suburban Bandra Kurla Complex early on Friday. BMC said that the injured were rushed to VN Desai Hospital & are in stable condition. It added that police & fire dept personnel are on the spot carrying out rescue work. As per report, the injured workers were carrying out some work on a girder when it fell down. The under-construction flyover connects BKC main road to Santa Cruz–Chembur Link Road. Police informed that there has been no life loss in the mishap and no person is missing. The construction work was being undertaken by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
