Watch: ITBP’s ‘Himveers’ celebrate 73rd Republic Day at 15,000 ft in minus 35 °C

Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldiers celebrated India’s 73rd Republic Day on Wednesday. The soldiers called ‘Himveers’ unfurled the National Flag at 15,000 ft in minus 35 degree Celsius at Ladakh. The video shows soldiers braving the freezing temperatures unfurling the national flag. The force also posted videos of and images of soldiers at different altitudes where they are posted. Soldiers were seen skiing at 11,000 feet in minus 20 degrees Celsius at Auli in Uttarakhand. The lead soldier leading the contingent can be seen carrying the Tricolour. ITBP jawans were also seen celebrating R-Day at various altitudes in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
