• Several areas of Hyderabad were flooded after the city witnessed heavy rainfall for about 2.5 hours on Friday night. Two people have been reported missing after they were swept away by the strong currents in low-lying areas, officials said. Several low-lying areas were flooded and people were forced to drive on submerged roads. In various places, the rainwater entered houses and restaurants. On social media, users shared videos of vehicles being swept away and people wading through floodwater while questioning the inefficiency of the administration to facilitate proper infrastructure.
