Harika Dronavalli secured her third bronze medal in the recently concluded Women's World Chess champuionship in Tehran in February. In an epic semi-final against China's Tan Zhongyi, she lost in the sudden-death Armageddon tie-breaker after a stalemate in both the classical and blitz games. Harika is currently ranked eighth in the latest FIDE world rankings.
