Hockey World League Final: Solid India play 1-1 draw against Australia

Hosts India on Friday celebrated the 200th international appearance of skipper Manpreet Singh in style, holding World No 2 and world champions Australia for a 1-1 draw in their opening game of the Hockey World League Final for men in Bhubaneswar. It was quite an encouraging draw for the hosts as this was for the second time so far when they split points with defending champions in as many as 14 meetings, out of which Australia winning 11.
