Russia launches daytime drone wave after four nights of strikes

Russia launched another major drone assault on Kyiv on September 28, with daytime strikes killing two people and injuring 26, according to Ukrainian authorities. The Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences building was set ablaze, while the Dobrobut Medical Center was also hit. Ukraine said Russia launched 124 drones, including 86 jet-powered UAVs. The attack came as Moscow planned a major increase in military spending and further expansion of its armed forces, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned of additional North Korean troops being prepared for Russia.
