- Slovakia has clarified that Russia did not destroy its S-300 air defence missile system that it donated to Ukraine last week in fightback amid war. This after Russian Defence Ministry declared that it had pounded S-300 missile launcher in Ukraine on Sunday. Slovakian Prime Minister Eduard Heger took to Twitter to clarify that any such claims were hoax. The S-300 is a series of long range surface-to-air missile systems. It was developed to defend against aircraft and cruise missiles for the Soviet Air Defence Forces. Subsequent variations were developed to intercept ballistic missiles.
