Russia has test-fired a nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile just days after CIA Director John Ratcliffe's secret visit to Moscow. Launched from Russia's northwestern Arkhangelsk region on August 28, the ICBM travelled across the country before reaching the Kura test site in Kamchatka. The Independent reports that the missile has a range exceeding 6,700 km and could potentially reach the United States. The timing comes after Ratcliffe reportedly travelled to Moscow to warn Russia against attacking any NATO member. Was Putin's long-range missile test routine deterrence, or a calculated response to Washington's warning?
