The United States Navy has reportedly moved key minesweeping vessels away from the Strait of Hormuz to the Pacific, raising questions about Washington’s strategy as tensions with Iran escalate. Reports say the Littoral Combat Ships USS Tulsa and USS Santa Barbara were spotted in Malaysia after previously operating near Manama. The move comes as allies hesitate to join a naval effort to secure the waterway. Meanwhile, Keir Starmer signalled the Royal Navy may not immediately commit forces to the volatile region.
