Spitting Fire! Lava Bursts Into Air as Kilauea Eruption Intensifies

Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has intensified, with repeated bursts of glowing lava and molten spatter shooting into the air from the north vent inside Halemaumau crater. The US Geological Survey said larger bursts reached around 10 to 20 metres above the vent, while the volcano remains under a WATCH alert with an ORANGE aviation colour code.
