125-ft-long sand cricket bat to wish Indian team
Updated on Feb 12, 2011 09:19 pm IST
Sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik, along with his students, has depicted the 2011 World Cup tournament at Puri beach. They laboriously worked for hours and completed a grand replica of cricket stadium with a lively pitch in the centre, the World Cup trophy and a gigantic cricket bat measuring 125 feet in length. Patnaik termed this creative and attractive sculpture as a medium to hail all the participants of the grand sporting extravaganza and also to wish the Indian team good luck.
