Circuit for India's F1 grand prix nears completion

The 5.14-kilometer Buddh International Circuit (BIC), touted as India's circuit for F1 grand prix, in Greater Noida nears completion as the country gears up for first historic motor race. The circuit is designed by German architect and racetrack designer Herman Tilke. Talking to mediapersons, Indian Formula-1 driver Narain Karthikeyan said that his dream of racing before the home crowd would soon become a reality.The width of the track is between 18-20 meters and the approximate cost of building the track is approximately $ 400 million. Managing Director of Race Promoters, Jaypee Sports International Sameer Gaur hoped that the circuit would be completed soon.
