India at 2018 CWG: Weightlifters Chanu and Gururaja give a gold and silver on day one

India opened its medal account on day one of the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a gold and a silver. Both the medals at Gold Coast came from the weightlifters. S Mirabai Chanu won the gold in women's 48kg category while P Gururaja claimed silver in men's 56kg category. Two swimmers made it to the semifinals in their categories.
