Stalin Hits Back At PM Modi Over Katchatheevu Row, Takes Aim At Jaishankar With 2015 RTI Reply

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK boss MK Stalin hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Katchatheevu row. Stalin accused the BJP of doing a “somersault” on the issue, claiming that the Indian government in a 2015 RTI reply said that the island was never part of India. “In the last ten years, how many times has Modi travelled to Sri Lanka? Did he ever demand from them that Katchatheevu should be returned to us? When he met the head of the state of Sri Lanka, did he tell them that Katchatheevu belongs to India?” Stalin asked PM Modi about his efforts to reclaim the island from Sri Lanka.
