A massacre in Sudan’s Al-Fashir has triggered global outrage, as satellite images confirmed mass killings by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Over 2,000 civilians were slaughtered after a 17-month siege, with reports of executions, raids, and sexual violence. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey condemned the atrocities, urging a ceasefire and humanitarian access. The UN warned of “a terrible escalation” as RSF forces tighten control over Darfur — reviving fears of another Sudan split. Experts now say Al-Fashir’s fall marks one of the darkest chapters in Sudan’s modern history.
