Garbine Muguruza enters fourth round of US Open 2017 with clinical show

Garbine Muguruza, the Wimbledon champion and currently seeded No.3, put up a magnificent display and needed a little over an hour to defeat Magdaléna Rybáriková 6-1,6-1 to enter the fourth round of the tournament. The Spaniard has yet to lose a set at Flushing Meadows this year and has dropped only nine games. Next up for Muguruza is two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, the No. 13 seed, who beat 18th-seeded Caroline Garcia 6-0, 6-4. She congratulated Serena Williams on the birth of her baby girl and jokingly hoped the newborn does not follow in the footsteps of her illustrious mother.
