Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly called off a planned large-scale strike on Iran on Monday after receiving a warning from U.S. President Donald Trump against further escalation, according to reports. The operation was said to have been halted even as Israeli fighter jets were preparing for takeoff. In a televised address later in the day, Netanyahu announced that Israel would suspend further attacks on Iran "for now," while making clear that any future attacks by Iran or its regional allies would be met with a forceful response.
