Trump setting Venezuela's stage for something bigger? Maduro accuses US of waging psychological war

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has accused the United States of leading a global campaign to “tarnish his image” and justify a possible attack on Venezuela through what he called an “extravagant narrative.” Speaking in Cagua, Aragua state, during the inauguration of Venezuela’s 4,000th commune, Maduro claimed that Washington and the CIA are orchestrating false narratives to pave the way for aggression. He warned that the U.S. military buildup in the Caribbean, carried out under the pretext of anti-drug operations, could be a prelude to foreign intervention and accused Venezuelan opposition figures like Julio Borges of supporting such plans.
