Ukraine’s secret drone terror plot against Russia foiled? Kremlin exposes Kyiv's desperation tactics

Published on Jul 17, 2026 09:32 pm IST

Ukraine claims it has expanded its long-range drone campaign by targeting key Russian military assets in occupied Crimea and deep inside Russian territory. Kyiv says a Russian Su-24M bomber was struck before takeoff, while explosions were also reported near the Engels-2 strategic bomber base, home to Tu-95 and Tu-160 bombers. Meanwhile, Russia launched another deadly missile attack on Odesa, killing civilians and damaging homes, schools, and public infrastructure. As both sides intensify long-range strikes, the conflict continues to escalate with growing risks for the wider region.
