U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Friday canceled his planned six-day visit to Israel after Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen declined to approve a major gas export agreement recently reached between Jerusalem and Cairo, Cohen’s office confirmed. The deal, signed in August, involves Israel’s Leviathan gas field and is valued at $35 billion — marking the largest export agreement in Israel’s history.
