The U.S. is developing the cheaper PAC-3 ACE Patriot interceptor as missile demand rises after the Iran war. Lockheed Martin says its first flight is expected no earlier than 2028, while Washington races to expand PAC-3 production and replenish depleted missile-defense stocks.
