- Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been accused of treason. The Punjab Assembly in Pakistan has passed a resolution demanding that Shehbaz be tried under treason charges for discussing the appointment of new Pak Army chief with his 'convict' brother Nawaz Sharif. The development reportedly came when Shehbaz met Nawaz in London after he attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Former Pak PM Imran Khan has lashed out at Sharif, calling him a 'crime minister'. Pak's current Army Chief Gen Qamar Bajwa is set to retire in November this year.
