After impeachment, Donald Trump condemns Capitol riot; urges ‘calm’

  • US President Donald Trump condemned the violent riot at the capitol after he was impeached. Trump was impeached for ‘inciting insurrection’ over capitol riots last week. Donald Trump is the only us president to be twice impeached. In a video released after he was impeached by the House, Trump condemned the Capitol riot and urged everyone to remain ‘calm’. He said, “There is never a justification for violence, no excuses, no exceptions. America is a nation of laws. Those who engaged in the attacks last week will be brought to justice. Now, I am asking everyone who has ever believed in our agenda, to be thinking of ways to ease tensions, calm tempers and help to promote peace in our country.” However, the US President made no reference to becoming the first president in the nation's history to be impeached twice.
