After IRGC says it 'blinded' US radars, backchannel talks push Trump toward a Hormuz compromise?

The United States and Iran are reportedly seeking to revive an interim ceasefire as indirect backchannel negotiations continue following weeks of military confrontation. According to the Associated Press, mediators are discussing a possible compromise to restore commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, with one proposal allowing Iran to oversee vessel transit while easing restrictions on maritime traffic. A regional official, speaking anonymously because of the sensitivity of the talks, said negotiations remain ongoing and no final agreement has been reached. The reported diplomatic push comes as both Washington and Tehran attempt to prevent another round of direct military escalation while keeping one of the world's most critical energy shipping routes operational.
