After Manchester bombing, UK reels under another terror attack
Updated on Jun 05, 2017 02:52 pm IST
British police said six people have died and 20 were injured in an attack on central London on Saturday night. Mark Rowley, Assistant Commissioner of London's Metropolitan Police, told reporters that three attackers were also shot dead. Rowley said police shot the attackers within eight minutes of receiving the first call regarding the incident. The three attackers were wearing what appeared to be explosive vests, but Rowley said police established these to be hoaxes. UK Prime Minister Theresa May has strongly condemned the recent terror attacks in London and Manchester, saying tougher measures are needed as “terrorism breeds terrorism” and attackers copy each other.
