Human rights organization Amnesty International came out with a report on China’s treatment of Muslim minorities on Thursday. The 160 page report said hundreds of thousands of Muslim minority men and women were being subjected to mass internment and torture, systemic mass surveillance and being forced to abandon their religious traditions, cultural practices and local languages. The rights group also demanded an investigation against China by the United Nations under international human rights law.
