‘Appreciate China standing by us in difficult times’: Pak foreign minister

Pakistan and Chinese foreign minister addressed a joint press conference in Beijing. Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that his country 'did exercise restraint' in the conflict with India. He appreciated China for standing by Pak in difficult times. He said, “I briefed the foreign minister on the steps Pakistan had taken to safeguard our territorial integrity and the steps we have taken to de-escalate. Pakistan appreciates the role China has played once again in standing by Pakistan in these difficult times.” Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi praised Pak's efforts to ease tensions with India following Pulwama attack. Wang added that the two countries agreed to step up counter-terrorism cooperation in the region.
