Biden weakening anti-China alliance? France gets EU support over US-UK-Australia

European has come out in support of France against United State over controversial nuclear submarine deal with Australia. European Union's diplomatic chief Josep Borrell said EU ministers "expressed a clear solidarity towards France" after Australia last week cancelled a multi-billion-dollar contract for French submarines, instead opting for US nuclear-powered ones as part of a new three-way alliance with Washington and London. This as French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian condemned a "break of trust between allies" after Paris was outraged by the loss of a mega submarine contract with Australia. Meanwhile, White House said that president Biden will soon speak to his french counterpart amid the escalating tensions. Watch this report for more.
