Biden's troops avenge Aug 15 attack in Syria; US strikes Iran-backed militants

• The United States has carried out air strikes on Iran-linked targets. The targeted military strikes were conducted in eastern Syria. The infrastructure facilities which were struck are used by groups affiliated with Iran’s Elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The US military's Central Command, in a statement, said the raids in Syria’s Deir Ez Zor were ordered by President Joe Biden and the attack was in response to an August 15 attack targeting US forces.
