China ‘ready to’ invade Taiwan; Xi spooks Taipei by preparing forces for war
Updated on Nov 09, 2022 02:34 pm IST
Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen in an interview with U.S's The Atlantic said that there 'is a genuine threat' of a Chinese invasion. In a call for help from the West, Tsai said that the country is getting itself ready. Beijing’s position is that Taiwan is an integral part of China as per its so-called ‘One China’ policy. The Xi Jinping regime has vowed to reclaim the island nation, 'by force if needed'. This development comes amid reports that the Chinese president has urged his military to be ready for war amid unstable circumstances.
