China tests cutting-edge CH-7 stealth drone amid Taiwan tensions; Xi’s new weapon spooks US, allies?

China has reportedly conducted the maiden flight of its CASC‑developed CH‑7 “flying wing” stealth drone, a high‑altitude UAV combining autonomy, survivability and long‑range strike. Unveiled as a model in 2018, the CH‑7 now enters flight testing just as tensions spike over Taiwan, PLA drills intensify and Japan sounds the alarm.
