- China has issued stern warning to Australia asking it to bring its naval and air forces in the South China Sea under control. This comes after an Australian P-8A aircraft flew close to Chinese Shenyang J-16 over the disputed Paracel Islands also known as Xisha on May 26. Australia claims that a Chinese jet did a dangerous maneuver during its routine operation in the South China Sea. Beijing, however, claims that the Australian aircraft ignored repeated warnings and continued to fly dangerously close to the Chinese jet. The Chinese foreign ministry has now said that if Australia doesn’t stop, it will face serious consequences soon. Watch this video for more details.
