‘Dangerous Storms’: Defiant Xi Jinping vows to strengthen China's military

- Xi Jinping has vowed to accelerate modernisation of the country's military to 'world-class standards' to protect national sovereignty, security and developmental interests. Delivering a report to the 20th National Congress in Beijing, Xi Jinping declared his plans to improve the mechanisms and implement a system where ultimate responsibility rests with the chairman of the Central Military Commission. Not only that, the CCP will intensify troop training and strengthen all-around military governance.
