Death penalty for Brit, Moroccan fighters in rebel-held Ukraine; UK slams Russia

The 'Supreme court' of the Moscow-backed rebel area in East Ukraine awarded death sentences to foreign fighters. The so-called Donetsk People's Republic dubbed two Britons & a Moroccan 'mercenaries fighting for Ukrainian forces'. The Russian foreign minister said 'action taken as per legislation' of the breakaway region in East Ukraine. British foreign minister Lizz Truss slammed the 'sham judgment with absolutely no legitimacy'. A spokesperson for UK PM stressed 'prisoners of war shouldn't be exploited for political purposes'.
