Elephants play polo to raise funds for conservation
Updated on Mar 10, 2017 11:57 am IST
Elephants play polo to raise cash to save their own kind at the 2017 King's Cup tournament in Bangkok. About 30 elephants participated in the game through which they will raise money for both domestic and wild elephants. The elephants get fruits and vegetables as energy boosters several times during the game. While some conservationists feel that this is cruelty to elephants, there are others who say that it helps raise money for conservation and awareness to protect elephants from deforestation, urbanisation, and poaching.
