France snubs Pakistan, refuses to upgrade Mirage fighter jets, submarines

France has declined to upgrade Pakistan's fleet of Mirage fighter jets, submarines, and air defence system, as per reports. Pakistan had requested for an upgrade for its Mirage jets, the French-Italian air defence system, and Agosta 90B submarines. Earlier, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had criticized French President Emmanuel Macron over the latter's comments on Islam. Khan wrote an open letter to leaders of Muslim majority countries asking them to unite against “growing Islamophobia in non-Muslim states”.
