Germany Backtracks On Promise To NATO; Refuses To Fulfill Bloc's Defence Pledge | Details

Germany has reportedly walked back from a plan to legally commit itself to meeting NATO's defence spending target on an annual basis. A draft budget financing law passed by the Scholz cabinet does not make the NATO military spending target legally binding. In the past, NATO allies have criticised Berlin strongly for not spending 2% of its GDP on defence annually. Watch this video for details.
