Good & bad news for India travellers: USA eases advisory, Canada extends ban

• The US state department issued a statement on Monday easing travel restrictions to India for its citizens and encouraging travel. The advisory came in the wake of Covid-19 cases declining in India. The US had earlier put India under Level 4 restrictions which meant that all travel to and from the country was banned; the restrictions have now been lowered to Level 3. Meanwhile, Canada has extended its flight ban to and from India to a month, the country will start welcoming fully vaccinated travellers of all countries from September 7.
