On July 11, Hamas released purported footage showing its fighters engaging the IDF in Gaza's Shejaiya neighborhood. The Al Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for targeting an Israeli combat team entering Tel Sultan in Rafah. Another clip showed a Hamas fighter planting a bomb under an Israeli military vehicle, narrowly escaping before a loud explosion occurred.
