How residents in Ukraine's Kyiv reacted after Putin recognised rebel regions

Kyiv residents expressed shock, fear and optimism after Russian President Putin recognised Ukraine rebel regions as independent. "It is very scary. I am not from Kyiv, I am from Chernihiv Oblast, which is close to the border with Belarus, and it’s really scary that the number of troops is increasing over there," said a student, Victoria Honchar. However, some Kyiv residents said that they don’t think ‘badly about the Russians’. "I don’t think badly about Russians, and I understand them perfectly - they too do not want this war,” said a resident of Kyiv. On Tuesday, Putin recognised the independence of the Russia-backed regions of Luhansk and Donetsk. Watch the full video for more.
