Tropical storm Harvey continued to batter southeast Texas with rain and floods, leaving behind submerged highways, houses and entire neighbourhoods in the US' fourth-largest city in Houston. More than 17,000 people have sought refuge in Texas shelters, according to the American Red Cross. Houston said it would set up at least two more mega-shelters. Indian officials helped families and relatives of the 200 A&M students reach them as urgently as they could, but two students were admitted in ICU after they had nearly drowned. One of them succumbed to his injuries but the other continues to be critical.
