Pakistani state broadcaster apologises for error during PM Khan’s Beijing speech

Pakistan's state broadcasters issued a formal apology on their official Twitter page following Sunday's incorrect dateline slug “Begging”, during Prime Minister Imran Khan's live address in Beijing. The state-run channel, PTV News, said “this incident is regrettable,” and “strict action has been initiated under rules against concerned officials.” The incorrect dateline slug was instead meant to read Beijing, the location of Khan's speech. It appeared on screen for 20 seconds, before being removed.
