The United States and India are inching closer to seal a deal to jointly manufacture fighter jet engines in India. The deal is likely to be signed when Prime Minister Modi visits Washington on June 21. Citing sources, Bloomberg reported that the White House is expected to clear a proposal from General Electric Co. with state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. for the Tejas LCA.
