- North Korea test-fires eight missiles in just a day pushing it to a record number of launches in a single year under Kim Jong Un, who appears ready to further ratchet up tensions with his first test of a nuclear device since 2017. The missiles were launched from multiple sites in North Korea into waters east of the Korean peninsula between 9:08 a.m. and 9:43 a.m. local time in Seoul on Sunday, according to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff. The ballistic barrage took place just a day after South Korea and the United States wrapped up their joint military drill. North Korea has so far fired off 31 ballistic missiles in 2022, which include at least two failed attempts - the highest annual launches by the country ever. South Korea and Japan have slammed Kim Jong-Un's latest move. The United States too called it a violation of UNSC resolutions. Watch this report to know more.
