While cities across France remain on the edge, President Emmanuel Macron holds on to his defiant position on the pension reform. In an interview, the French President vowed to push through the contentious reform despite uproar, saying that he was prepared to accept 'unpopularity'. On Monday, the French government narrowly survived a no-confidence motion. However, the protests across France are only intensifying. In Paris, students and university staff hit the streets.
